S4 E23: Creativity Master's Guide

And then Spike was grounded 'til season 6. Wow, that was an... interesting episode. As I've said before, I love and empathize with Rarity very often, and her extreme moments are (most times) a treat. So this was equal parts hilarious and creepy. Lots of nervous laughter, and some great scenes with her. Spike was not bad compared to how he usually is around Rarity, so pluses for that. My main gripe was the ending. Some episodes really flow nicely into the ending, and have a big payoff for a big build up. This one was one of the ones that just kind of... ended. They set up the resolution early on, so it wasn't out of left field, but after the rest of the episode, it seemed more they had just run out of time. That aside, it was a fun time and I loved Rarity's character.

Ok, I gotta say though, did the book not remind anyone else of the necronomicon? What the hell kind of magics did the royal sisters discover? and if that was so meager as to be guarded by only a hidden lever and a padlock, what is the really dangerous magic like? Holy crap.
